The Church at Watford (Grade I listed) is the oldest building standing in the village. It's cornerstone was laid on the 1st of January 1300 and it was built during the early 14th and 15th centuries.

Whilst not quite as old as the church there are a number of other historically interesting buildings in the village.

Restoration Project
Fundraising continues to pay for repairs to the roof and drainage systems. We are also indebted to the Heritage Lottery Fund and it's players for their ongoing support.

After more than 9 months work has been completed on the roof and drainage system, following serious damage caused by lead thefts in 2017 & 18. The church re-opened on November 10th in time for the Remembrance Day Service.

For more information on the restoration please visit the 'Restoration' page.
